Marina News - November 2007

The City Marina has newly added value into its facility for the local residents , marina tenants and transient boaters alike.  The city's MIS department has installed a wireless system allowing  free Wi-Fi, which reaches out  from the manatee center to marina square  park including both Cobb's landing restaurant and Original Tiki Bar and Restaurant.

The marina has also added WXWorks weather system  in the ship store to aid boaters in their decision making on whether, weather is going to be a factor boating in local waters or offshore.  The system immediately identifies sea conditions, wind, water, temperature, upcoming weather fronts, etc.   Come see us if your questioning the weather.

For those that might have caught, a supposedly, world record fish the marina has become an official IGFA weigh station. Bring your catch by.

 Presently lead has been removed from diesel fuel which helps lubricate internal components of an engine.  The marina countered this by working with our fuel supplier to become a dealer and sell a product called marine Kleen Diesel Fuel, which should give the boater a better product in  the boat giving it better fuel economy and engine performance to the boater

November 15^th - 18^th the Southern Kingfish Tournament will be held at harbour point park over 400 teams are expected.
